Olympus Just Announced the TG-3 and SH-1: Two Cameras to Revolutionize the Market

Olympus Just Announced the TG-3 and SH-1: Two Cameras to Revolutionize the Market

The Olympus TG- 3 is a very good opponent to the underwater cameras on the market. This camera is the only that can go about 50.0' (15.2 meters) without an extra housing. Plus, its 16 megapixels, Full HD Video at 1080p, Built-in WIFI , GPS , Compass, ISO 6400, 5 fps , 4X Zoom and fast processor , coldproof, shockproof , dustproof and kidsproof ... lol ... just kidding .

The TG -3 has been improved from its predecessor the TG -2, with an improved GPS  and including a macro - microscopic mode .... what? This means that you can make photographic shots of even dust particles and you'll notice some crisp & clear details. In fact , we could say that you'll see things that are not seen with the naked eye . You can also make shots in 1sec intervals -24 hours to a maximum of 99 frames.

On the other hand, like its predecessor you will be able to add wide angle converter and tele-converter lenses and still use them underwater.

The Olympus SH -1, although is another compact camera promises to be excellent by borrowing some specs from the PEN cameras. This is a cross between a mirrorless  camera and a regular point & shot. Why ? The SH1 has the same  5 - axis image stabilization from their mirror-less cameras . Additionally, includes 16megapíxeles , 24X optical zoom , shutter lens with F3- 6.9 , touch screen LCD, Full HD Video and built-in WIFI .

Both camera will be available in May / June 2014 and are available for pre - order. Keep visiting our blog for example images ;) from this cameras.

Olympus Stylus 1 Blog & Photography Review

Olympus Stylus 1

The Stylus 1 Digital Camera from Olympus houses a 1/1.7" back-side illuminated CMOS sensor with 12MP of effective pixels for high resolution photography and Full HD 1080p video. It features an i.Zuiko 10.7x optical zoom lens with an f/2.8 constant aperture. The 35mm focal length equivalence of the zoom lens is 28-300mm which provides is a very wide magnification range allowing for true wide-angle to super telephoto shooting. The f/2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range offers effective low-light capability and shallow depth of field focus control. In addition, the ISO sensitivity range runs from 100-12800 for rich tones in bright light and low-noise in dim settings. Fast autofocus and a full resolution continuous shooting speed of 7 fps exemplify the performance speed of its TruePic VI image processor.
A large Hi-Definition Electronic Viewfinder enables bright, stable, eye-level composition with 100% field of view. 1.15x magnification and 1.44 million dots resolution provides clear live view of exposure, white balance, art filters and more. A display of camera settings is also a visible on the EVF and an eye sensor immediately illuminates the viewfinder when you bring the camera to your eye. In addition a 3.0" Tilt-Touch LCD with a resolution of 1.04 million dots offers accurate colors in composition and playback. Able to tilt up 80º and down 50º, the LCD makes it easy to shoot from odd angles and avoid reflections in bright light. Touchscreen control enables camera settings adjustment and shutter release and a simple swipe allows for rapid image viewing in playback. It also supports adjustable brightness, color saturation and tone.
Full HD 1080p video recording at 30 fps is supported as is a range of lower resolutions, including VGA and QVGA slow-motion video capture. Also, the Stylus 1 provides built-in wireless connectivity for instant transfer of images to a PC, smartphone or tablet. When using the Olympus Image Share app, the remote function allows you to fully control the camera's shutter speed, ISO, aperture and more from your smart device. You can also see the camera's live view on your device, select autofocus points and add art filter effects.

FUJIFILM X-E1 Digital Camera Photo Blog Review Sample Images

FUJIFILM X-E1 Digital Camera With XF 27mm f/2.8 Lens

  • 16.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS Sensor
  • EXR Processing Pro Image Processor
  • FUJIFILM X-mount
  • 2.36 Million Dot OLED Viewfinder
  • 2.8" LCD 460K Dot Resolution
  • Full HD 1080p Video with Stereo Sound
  • Focal Plane Shutter
  • High Speed Contrast Autofocus
  • 100-25600 ISO Range
  • Magnesium Alloy Body

The black X-E1 Mirrorless Digital Camera from Fujifilm features a classic form factor, magnesium alloy build and completely state-of-the-art digital technology. The sensor on the X-E1 is Fujiflm's 16.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor and the image processor is the EXR Processor Pro. The APS-C-sized X-Trans utilizes a unique color filter pixel array that eliminates a low pass filter and reduces moiré and false colors, resulting in exceptionally true-to-life color images, low noise and high resolution that other sensors with optical low-pass filters cannot approach. The EXR processor delivers high-performance, especially in terms of auto-focus speeds.
Fuji has created a unique lens mount for the X-series cameras. With a 10-pin data bus, the lens instantly sends information to the camera body through the lens mount, meaning fewer adjustments to be made by the photographer and more time spent shooting. The reinforced mount is only 2.5mm thick, which contributes to the slim profile of the X-E1. The short flange and wide opening of the X-mount means that the lens elements are as close as possible to the sensor and will achieve high resolution even at the edges and corners of the sensor.
An incredibly high resolution 2.36 million dot OLED electronic viewfinder with a built-in diopter is provided for eye-level composition and a 2.8" 460K dot rear LCD monitor for composition and playback is available as well. The EVF has a double aspheric lens element that offers faithful reproduction of focus, exposure, white balance and film simulation effects and has a high contrast ration of 1:5000. The LCD monitor has a special anti-reflective coating that reduces glare when viewing in bright sunlight and is water and stain resistant.
And enough for the talk, watch this camera do the walk, with this beautiful photos taken around New York City right before New Years:
